Behavioural Treatment Results Package
During the workshop, which runs for up to 3 hours, Active Creatures provides a thorough behavioural assessment, practical treatment plan and exercises so you have the tools you need to start helping your dog immediately.
Here's what you get in the workshop:
- A comprehensive, face-to-face behavioural assessment to identify the nature and intensity of your dog's underlying behavioural problem/s, including exploring your dog's background and history.
- Using the above assessment, we'll then move into the treatment phase. Here, the behaviour modification plan (or treatment plan) will be designed with your input and participation. This plan will enable treatment to begin immediately.
- Following the development of the treatment plan, we'll then practice the behavioural exercises and techniques together to help bring about positive behavioural change in your dog.
What to expect:
- All approaches in the treatment plan will be specific to your dog's exact behaviour problem/s, to give your dog the best chance of success with treatment.
- You will be guided through step-by-step, practical treatment exercises to undertake during the workshop. This will build your confidence and know-how so you can implement these exercises on your own, following the completion of the workshop.
- A comprehensively-written behaviour modification plan will be emailed through to you shortly after the workshop, which you can use as a guide when undertaking the treatment exercises, in your own time and with your dog.
- A short time after the workshop is completed, Active Creatures will return to conduct a 60 minute behavioural treatment session. This will allow us to assess your dog's treatment progress and to determine whether any additional treatments need to be included in the plan. This is also an opportunity to go over again with you the various treatment methods and techniques that are in the plan, and to address any questions you may have.
There is an opportunity to purchase further sessions after the workshop to help fast-track progress.
Intensive Behavioural Treatment Package
This package is our most comprehensive program conducted over six weeks. We work intensively with your dog to address their behavioural problem/s and bring about immediate and positive change in their behaviour.
Who’s this package for?
The package is ideal for owners whose dog is:
- prone to leash reactivity towards other dogs or objects (like skateboards), particularly when on walks
- exhibiting direct aggression towards other unfamiliar dogs
- experiencing a very intense and traumatic level of separation anxiety
What does this package include?
- An initial 20-minute phone consultation with Active Creatures so we can determine your dog’s behavioural problem/s that need to be corrected. This phone call will also allow us to describe how the treatment programme works and what you can expect in terms of results.
- A 90-minute comprehensive face-to-face behavioural assessment that explores the issues discussed on the phone in more detail.
- From the behavioural assessment, a targeted behavioural treatment plan & schedule will be developed to help your dog and bring about positive and lasting change.
- Three treatment sessions per week, for three weeks (a total of nine sessions). In each of these sessions, Active Creatures will work directly with your dog, utilising a range of positive and reward-based methods and techniques to achieve the desired behavioural change. At no stage will any aversive or punishment-based approaches be used.
- One 'transfer session' per week, for three weeks. This is where Active Creatures spends time demonstrating all of the practical methods and techniques that have been used over the prior three weeks. These sessions show you how to instruct your dog, and help reinforce and cement the positive behavioural changes already achieved.
- A 60-minute review session at an agreed date to finalise the treatment approach, discuss any outstanding questions that you may have and clarify the path forward for you and your dog.
- A comprehensive & personalised treatment manual will be emailed to you, outlining the treatment plan in detail. It's your resource guide with each of the practical treatment exercises so you can continue the training with your dog.
- Phone check-ins. We're only ever a phone call away for a check-in on any questions you have, and to discuss progress being achieved.

Single Treatment Session
Choose flexibility by purchasing a single session as and when you think your dog could do with some extra help and reinforcement of the content and exercises covered during the workshop.
Once you've completed your behavioural treatment workshop, Active Creatures provides the flexibility of purchasing a single session, so we can continue to work together to address your dog's behavioural issue/s.
A single session can be purchased as often as you need.
